Palm Springs Golf Academy History
The Palm Springs Golf Academy began as the Scottsdale Golf Academy at Scottsdale Country Club in Scottsdale, Arizona in 1983 and 1984. In 1985, we moved to La Quinta Golf and Tennis Resort; and became the Palm Springs Golf Academy. We remained there until 1992, when we moved to the Westin Mission Hills Resort. This is our fourteenth year here. Now in our twenty-fifth season, we have graduated over 1500 students. Many of our students come from the country clubs where our academy's staff are the golf professionals, but we have alumni from all across the United States and also from England, Germany, India, and Canada. All of the instructors in our Academy are PGA professionals known for their teaching abilities and they have full time positions at recognized private clubs. Including involvement in other schools, some of us have been working together for twenty-five years.
